Upton travelled to Warwickshire for their second successive league away game against some very strong opposition. Pre analysis of Old Leam's had identified a strong tight five and very pacy backs which was evident throughout the 80 minutes.
Upton did start brightly and had several drives close to the line with Heeley, Lancett, Jones and Price all going close, however stout defence meant Upton could only come away with a drop goal from Heeley. 0-3.
After that Old Leams started to pick holes in Upton's backline that was severely depleted from the previous weeks win at Ledbury with scrum half Raymond and inside centre Richardson both injured and outside centre Pimlow and wing Mills unavailable due to other commitments.
Old Leams scored 4 tries in total, 2 either side of half time, all through their speedy backs. This was only separated by Mike Dodge penalty mid way through the second half to make the final score 29-6 to the home side.
This week Upton are back in action at home to Southam. Kick off 3pm
